Edition One Terms of Service
Edition One works with clients of all types. Whether you’re a professional publisher,
or just getting started, you’ll find much of the information you need to begin working
on your book other publishing project on our site. Should you need additional guidance,
please contact us. Below, you’ll find information pertaining to our business practices
and necessary legalities. The terms "we" or "our" refer to Edition One, throughout, and
"you", "your", "client" refers to Edition One's customers and clients.
Payment Terms: Orders totalling less than $500 require full payment in advance. For orders greater than $500, a 50% deposit is required in order to begin production of your books and/or publications.
The remaining balance is due when the order is shipped. Repeat and trade clients may request more lenient terms. We accept business and personal checks for all orders. Credit Card payment is accepted for orders greater than $250.
Censorship, etc. Edition One does not support censorship of the visual arts.
However, we reserve the right to refuse any project which we deem overly insulting or illegal.
If you’re submitting materials that you think might cause offense or discomfort for our staff members,
please contact us ahead of time to discuss specific details.
Copyright. Edition One does not accept responsibility for copyright infringement resulting from
the publication of our clients’ documents and files. By submitting images and text to Edition One, you
represent that you either own that material or have explicit written permission to reproduce it. Edition One offers a manufacturing service only. No publication rights are assumed by Edition One.
Quality Control. Edition One does not accept responsibility for the quality of the content
submitted by our clients. Spelling, grammar, image quality, formatting, and design are all the
responsibility of the client if we are reproducing client submitted files. The client is also responsible
for reviewing and approving the proof file if one is ordered. Edition One makes every effort to examine each proof before
final printing, but we are not responsible for any errors made during or before digital file creation. Misprints, blemishes, and color problems resulting from errors made by Edition One during production, will be corrected at no charge in most cases.
Data Security. Edition One is not responsible for the safekeeping of your content (documents,
images, templates etc.). All computer equipment is subject to damage and occasional corruption. You, the
client, agree not to hold Edition One responsible for any loss of content stored on our internal servers.
Edition One makes an effort to keep relevant client files on hand in the event that a reprint or reorder
is needed. However, we do not serve as a ‘back-up’ service for our clients, and you are solely responsible
for the protection and storage of your content. All project-oriented content created by Edition One on
behalf of our clients will be delivered on CD or DVD upon the completion of the project.
